FARMSTEAD GONE WILD
This is the plate that will make locavores, Francophiles, and all gourmands squeal on sight. Bon appétit!
Lindendale Farm’s Laughing Lindy, a wonderful little snow white pillow puck of bloomy-rind goat cheese. Smells lightly of cabbage and fresh hay and tastes wonderful, with a lip-smackingly thick interior and gooey, gamey liquid layer under the rind. Spectacular with our Tait Farm sour cherry jam or paired with a Chenin Blanc or one of these Spiced Holiday ales so popular this time of year. Keswick Creamery’s Blue Suede Moo. Blue Suede Moo harkens to an old romance based in 1700s Britain called Stilton. One with soft, sweet notes of chocolate and stout, with a texture between fudge and buttercream icing. Its flavors range from salted peanuts and hazelnuts to sharp peppercorn bursts and toasted brioche undertones. Misty Creek’s Tomme De Ewe, a cave-aged Lancaster specialty with flavors of browned butter and savory browned lamb all at once. A rare raw milk sheep’s cheese. Due to the special, small-batch nature of these cheeses, this cheese plate is only available in
