This week marks the official transition into the new growing season! Last year's storage crops (like apples, beets, potatoes and onions) are coming to an abrupt end but plenty of new growth is filling the Farmstand: We'll have SWEET BABY CARROTS and HAKUREI TURNIPS from LFFC, plus our first harvest of HEAD LETTUCES (romaine, oak leaf, red butterhead, etc...) from Paradise Organics! Think fresh and green! And speaking of fresh, why not lay those baby carrots to bed under a roast CHICKEN from Griggstown- in fresh today? We'll also have some LAMB SWEETBREADS in from Jamison this week- these are a true treat on the grill (just remember to soak those little guys for some hours first). And for you cheeseheads, FAT CAT from Birchrun Hills is back in and we've got a new SMOKED GALEN'S GOOD OLD in from Clover Creek.
